- To investigate and fix reported errors. When you report an error in our sizing data or a broken calculator, we use the information in your message to investigate the issue and correct it. We may email you to let you know when a reported error has been fixed.
- To understand how visitors use the site and improve our guides. We use anonymised, aggregated analytics data to understand which guides and calculators are most used, which pages have high exit rates, and how visitors navigate the site. We may ask you to verify your identity before processing your request. We will respond within one calendar month. Exercising your rights is free of charge.
Withdrawing consent: Where processing is based on your consent (e.g. non-essential analytics cookies), you can withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. - HTTPS encryption on all pages. All data transmitted between your browser and ringchart.co.uk is encrypted using TLS (HTTPS). This includes contact form submissions, page navigation, and all site content. We enforce HTTPS site-wide with HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS).
- Access controls on contact data. Personal data submitted via the contact form is accessible only to the RingChart.co.uk editorial team members who need it to respond to your enquiry. We use role-based access controls to restrict data access to authorised personnel only.
- Secure email handling. Email enquiries are handled via a secure email service with encryption in transit and at rest. We do not forward contact data to unsecured systems or personal email accounts.
- Regular data minimisation and deletion. We review and delete personal data that is no longer needed on a regular basis, in line with the retention periods set out in Section 7. We do not retain data "just in case."
- Data breach procedures.
